- WOOD PROCESSING & FURNITURE DESIGN
- University of Belgrade earned respect and tradition through 200 years of work. Wood Processing & Furniture Design department, was founded in 2004 at University of Belgrade's Wood Processing division (Faculty of Forestry), with the mission to educate new type of experts in design & industry, trained in wood technology with design concentration, in order to respond with high quality solutions to modern needs, and deal concepts, product development and mass production in a more sustainable manner. The Department is highly committed to Modern Art, Sustainable Design and eco-building; aims to research and develop new products with emphasis to sustainable design solutions and savings in raw wood. This resulted in many prototypes being awarded and being part of a project - The Development of New Products (a part of The Save Raw Wood scientific project, sponsored by Serbian Ministry of Science), which carries out in cooperation with the Furniture Quality Testing Laboratory at the University. The Department holds regular exhibitions and design workshops, promoting sustainable creativity
