Rising innovation and creativity to a humanitarian level Radio Television of Serbia and Belgrade Faculty of Forestry are rising funds for the Safe House in Belgrade / U nameri da inovativnost i kreativnost stavi u službu humanosti Radio televizija Srbije i Univerzitet u Beogradu-Šumarski fakultet prikupljaju sredstva za pomoć Sigurnoj kući u Beogradu
Following the daily news reports from the traditional Beogradska Hronika (Belgrade Chronicle) on RTS 1 National TV, there is one more (more charming, but not less informative) national TV Show - A SADA, RADA, lead by popular author Rada Đurić, for almost a year and a half now, successfully serving delicious cuisine, arts, crafts, along with the topical issues in Serbia. / Uz poznati informativni blok već tradicionalne Beogradske hronike, na 1. kanalu Radio televizije Srbije, od nedavno postoji još jedna (šarmantnija, ali ništa manje informativna) televizijska emisija - A SADA, RADA, koju takođe vodi popularna autorka i voditeljka Rada Đurić, uspešno servirajući javnosti ukusne specialitete kuhinje, umetnost, majstorije, uz veoma aktuelna pitanja u Srbiji. / The one of the most important projects covered by Rada Đurić for months now is The Great Humanitarian Campaign ZAGREJMO SIGURNU KUĆU ("Let's Heat Up the Safe House in Belgrade") that put together Radio Television of Serbia with the University of Belgrade-Faculty of Forestry (their professors and students, featuring innovative interior, furniture, landscape architecture & horticultural projects) followed by the experts from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, all on the mission - to rise funds to heat up a safe house in Belgrade / Jedan od najznačajnijih projekata kojim se Rada Đurić bavi u ovoj emisiji je humanitarna kampanja ZAGREJMO SIGURNU KUĆU u Beogradu, koji je na zajedničkom zadatku okupio Radio televiziju Srbije i Univerzitet u Beogradu-Šumarski fakultet (sa proforesorima, studentima i njihovim inovativnim projektima iz oblasti enterijera, nameštaja, pejzažne arhitekture i hortikulture) kojima su se pridružili i eksperti sa Mašinskog fakulteta, svi u zajedničkoj misiji, da se prikupe sredstva da se zagreje Sigurna Kuća u Beogradu./ Every artwork/furniture design, shown and demonstrated by the students from the Faculty of Forestry will be professionally reproduced by the industry/partners of the Faculty of Forestry, and offered on a public auction. CHAIR BACKREST DESIGN COMPETITION: Winners Announced!
We are pleased to announce the results of student design competition for backrest chair design, organized in cooperation of University of Belgrade Faculty of Forestry-TMD department, and the Italian furniture company IDEA GROUP OF
COMPANIES.
The jury composed of Filipo Umberto (Idea Euro Companies Ltd.), Irena Bako (Idea Group Adria doo), Jelena Matić (TMD department, Faculty of Forestry) and Maja Vagić (company Uradi Sam) has awarded the following prizes to students:
I PRIZE (50, 000 RSD) - CHAIR 3, authors Aleksandra Matić and Jelena Matić
II PRIZE (30 000 RSD) - BIONIC CHAIR, authors Aleksandra Miljević and Aleksandra Burda
III PRIZE (20 000 RSD) - DOTY, authors Milica Grahovac and Sonja Rodić
Due to the high quality of submitted papers jury decided for two special awards:
SPECIAL AWARD (7000 RSD) - VERVE, author MarIija Prelević
SPECIAL AWARD (5000 RSD) - CHAIR CRETE 2, author Petar Blagojević

The annual awards of Belgrade Chamber of Commerce for best doctoral, master and graduation thesis, inventions, design and technical innovations are granted with the aim to promote successful linking of science and business and the affirmation of inventions, designers and innovative solutions applicable in the economy.
This year's Award for Best Master Thesis goes to student Vanja Enbulajev, for her successful thesis 'Wooden Folding Chairs - The Use and Development' /Drvene stolice na rasklapanje - upotreba i razvoj/ done at the University of Belgrade-Faculty of Forestry, Department for Technology Management and Design of Furniture and Wood Products (60 ECTS Master program: MODELLING OF WOOD PRODUCTS). Annual awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 16 April of 2014.
This year's Award for Best Master Thesis goes to student Vanja Enbulajev, for her successful thesis 'Wooden Folding Chairs - The Use and Development' /Drvene stolice na rasklapanje - upotreba i razvoj/ done at the University of Belgrade-Faculty of Forestry, Department for Technology Management and Design of Furniture and Wood Products (60 ECTS Master program: MODELLING OF WOOD PRODUCTS).
